I eventually went back to college to pursue a degree in Business Administration and, around the same time, started working with my very first social media client — who, to this day, is still one of my clients. That opportunity became the turning point in my career. With her support and belief in my work, I was able to leave my 10-year career as a dental assistant and take the leap into running my business full-time.

I went to college after high school and majored in business and marketing. I didn't finish and became a college dropout.

Photography started as just a “side hustle” for me — never my full-time gig, but always something I made time for. I consistently booked clients in my free time, juggling shoots around my 9-to-5. In the early days, I focused on lifestyle portraits and fitness/bodybuilding photography, capturing people in their power and element. It was creative, fulfilling, and just the beginning of something so much bigger.

My passion for photography sparked when I was a teenager, always drawn to capturing moments and telling stories through the lens. After graduating high school, I invested in my first professional camera — and that’s when everything changed. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a business, originally named Taylor Mayfield Photography.

I was an influencer in the fitness community, but after making all these fitness companies money by marketing for them, I wanted to create something of my own and market myself instead. I stopped influencing and started working on building my marketing business.

On June 28th, 2023, everything changed — it became the first official day I was fully self-employed with Mayfield Marketing. No backup plan, no side hustle — just me, my vision, and a whole lot of faith. It was the start of building the business (and life) I’d always dreamed of.

I’m still proudly self-employed — and watching Mayfield Marketing grow has been nothing short of surreal. In my first full year of running the business, I hit six figures… and did it entirely on my own. No shortcuts, no handouts — just hustle, vision, and a whole lot of belief in what I was building.
